Life moves through me
carries me like a mother
full of emptiness
I grew up in a wild forest north of Oslo in Norway. The magical beauty of nature evoked my passion and wonder with how everything in the Universe comes into existence.
I engage with questions such as, "What powers creates this world and our daily lives? How do I participate in that creation? Can I touch hearts and empower others through my art?"
My technique is inspired from watercolor used in a non-traditional way. I mix my own paint and work on a robust industrial ricepaper. I enjoy the fast and intense process that working with watercolor demands. It invites me to surrender to the mystery of the moment. The ricepaper gives me the opportunity to work in a very large scale both with paintings and spacial installations. Additionally, I experiment with mixed media techniques like collage, cutouts, and a variety of hand printed forms. Often my own composed sounds and music contributes to my artwork, creating a total atmosphere both visually and acoustically.
Color, form, space and rythm make for an endless journey, but primarily, for me creating art is to share my vibration with the world.
